The Harbour Watercraft Tours & Adventures is set to make a splash on the Halifax waterfront this summer with new and exciting ways to “sea” Halifax! The company announced today, March 9, the signing of a three-year license agreement with Develop Nova Scotia, allowing them to operate their marine-based adventure tourism business within the “Salt Yard” area of the Halifax waterfront, following a Request for Proposals (RFP) that went public in November, 2019.

This agreement will give owners Ossama Nasrallah and Omar Hassan - who have been operating the Harbour Watercraft as a Sea Doo rental and tour company over the past two years – the opportunity to introduce two new experiences to their line-up, including zodiac tours and guided sea kayak tours, when they open for the 2020 season in May.

“Our goal has been to offer a fun and exciting, yet safe way to explore the beauty and rich history of Halifax from the water. After two successful seasons, we’re thankful that Develop Nova Scotia has awarded us the opportunity to expand our business and offer new, one-of-a-kind experiences to waterfront visitors”, said Nasrallah.

These tours will feature unparalleled views of the Halifax waterfront, the Bedford Basin and Dartmouth, and will even give visitors the chance to see McNabs Island and Georges Island up close.

“By adding a custom-built, twelve-seat zodiac, and multiple new sea kayaks, our visitors will be able to choose what they want to see and do, and at what pace“, explained Hassan. “If people want more of an exhilarating experience, they can take our Sea Doos for a guided rental. If they want a more relaxed experience, they can embark on a guided sea kayak adventure. If they want the best of both worlds, they can take a comfortable zodiac tour.”

The newly signed three-year agreement will also allow Nasrallah and Hassan to foster relationships with the Downtown Halifax business community - making it easier to create experience packages for waterfront visitors.

“We’re all community oriented”, explained Max Rastelli, Owner of Segway Nova Scotia.”Ossama and Omar have already been looking at ways to partner with us and other waterfront vendors to enhance the overall visitor experience. We’re currently working on a Land and Sea package for this summer”.

Booking for the 2020 season will open on April 1, and the company will officially set sail in May. For more information, or to book an experience, please visit www.theharbourwatercraft.com.
