About Us
Our Journey
The Harbour Watercraft Tours & Adventures began as a dream for Ossama Nasrallah and Omar Hassan, two recent Saint Mary’s University Alumni. The University roommates turned business partners have long shared a passion for the ocean, adventures, entertainment and business. Rooted in their passions, they come up with the idea of starting a watersports company in Halifax, while boating off of Granville Island in the Vancouver Harbour during the spring of 2017. Nasrallah and Hassan wanted to create a brand that had a vision of creating a quality, one-of-a-kind entertainment, while simultaneously encouraging and proactively embedding ideas of safety, security and well-being, keeping both renter and public safety in mind as their top priority. Fast forward to one year later, they decided to start making their dream a reality in May 2018. Combining their Sobey School of Business entrepreneurial mindsets with a strong belief that there is a lot to explore in and around Halifax, Nasrallah and Hassan began pursuing efforts to make Halifax one of the most adventurous and recommended tourism destinations on the East Coast.
The Harbour Watercraft officially opened for business on July 1st, 2018, launching from King’s Wharf in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The company introduced a niche, fun and entertaining activity to the Halifax Harbour, offering Sea-Doo rentals and guided adventure tours. It later moved to the “Salt Yard” area of the Halifax waterfront in 2019, following a successful RFP submission to Develop Nova Scotia for a forty-foot dock space. The company will operate out of the same space, located between Salter Street and Sackville Street, for the next 3years, and will introduce “Sea Kayak” guided tours as part of their adventures!
